Alberobello Monumento Abitato - Illustrated maps

If you love getting lost in new experiences when you visit
a new place, then our maps
are for you.
As part of the city branding for the Italian UNESCO site of Alberobello, we developed and designed several illustrated maps to discovering
the city of trulli through the visions of famous authors who visited it.
Sky of magical peaks
ALBEROBELLO NARRATED BY PIER PAOLO PASOLINI

The journey he made to Alberobello was like an inner exploration,
as the excerpt of his article (dated March 18, 1951) shows.
It was entitled "The brightness of the trulli of Alberobello".
I dream of a fantastic land
ALBEROBELLO NARRATED BY I DREAM OF A FANTASTIC LAND

The Italian writer Gabrele D'Annunzio arrived in Alberobello
on 27 September 1917, on the occasion of the patronal feast
of the Medici Saints. The enchantment he felt led him
to describe that visit as a daydream.
You are lost in wonder
ALBEROBELLO NARRATED BY KATHARINE HOOKER

The quotes on this map come from "Trough the heel of Italy",
in which there are the fondest memories of Mrs. Hooker, which date back to her last trip to Italy, between spring and autumn of 1922:
then she was 73 years old.
Where prehistoric times still live
ALBEROBELLO NARRATED BY KAZIMIERA ALBERTI

The Polish author visited Southern Italy in the 1950s. Written in a colloquial style, tending towards the poetic, her text is personally aimed at the reader, leading an exceptional itinerary through Puglia.
